10. Once you exit, show your receipt to claim your baby stroller or head to the baggage claim area and retrieve it there. Remember to take advantage of your stroller and load it down with whatever baggage you can to alleviate the strain on your arms and shoulders.
It’s important to note that if you’re bringing a light-weight umbrella stroller that can be folded and fit into the overhead carrier, must first determine the size of the stroller, it will not be necessary to check the stroller in at the gate. Simply fold it and carry it to your seat. There are certain things you’ll want to take into consideration before selecting between your light-weight, standard stroller or a heavier, fancier stroller. The Fancier Stroller
Pros:
May be compatible with the car seat you are using or renting; therefore, making it a complete travel system. Usually features a canopy and plenty of accessories to entertain and shield from the sun or rain.
Much easier to maneuver.
Good amount of storage for diaper bags, purses, and shopping bags.
Cons:
Heavier to carry.
Needs to be stored with luggage on the plane.
Takes up much more space.
Basic Umbrella Stroller (10-13 lbs)
Pros:
Easier to fit through normal doorways, aisles, sidewalks and stairs.
If necessary, light-weight and easier to carry.
Can presumably be stored in an overhead of a plane so there is less chance for damage during the flight.
Cheaper to replace should the stroller experience damage.
Compact and easy to fold and store.
Cons:
Not as easy to maneuver on rocky or tough terrain.
Not much storage to hold bags, toys, or anything acquired during your outing.
