Bumbo Baby Seat Good For Twins
A Twin Mummy can’t carry her twins around continually therefore a place to seat your twins in the daytime is essential. Choosing your twin seating can be confusing with all the variety of baby seating products on the market. The key things to consider before buying seats for your twins are safety, practicality, simplicity of use, and naturally cost. Cost is always a consideration when you have twins and need to buy two of something.
When your twins are really young you can use your moses baskets, cribs, bouncy chairs or stroller but as they get older and wish to be more upright and involved in the world around them you will need to go looking for something else. We discovered that the Baby Bumbo Seat was the top choice for our 2nd set of twins; not around when we had our first set of twins, more the shame.
The Bumbo looks sort of like a potty and when baby is sat in the seat it gives a fairly ergonomical fit around the baby’s small body making baby feel safe. It’s made from flexible durable rubber type material and is easily wipeable; no straps and difficult places to reach to scrub food spillages. Not only is the Baby Bumbo appropriate from as soon as your babies can hold their heads up (approx 3 months of age) but it is transportable and easy to wash. Due to it’s light weight you can move the bumbo’s around any place you want carrying one bumbo and one twin and then returning quickly for the next bumbo and twin.
The Bumbo provides a very easy and convienient place to pop your twins down safely when you need to. We fed our twins in the bumbo’s, they played in them and observed everything that was going on around the house; we even took them out to the garden. Other products worth a mention are the Babyway Karibu and the Bebe Pod; both seats are very alike in design to the Bumbo.
My guidance as usual before buying any baby products, try before you buy where possible. Maybe a chum has a bumbo seat or similar you could trial on your twins when you go for a visit?
