Commentary: Are TV ads to blame for the great toy demand on Santa? (San Jose Mercury News)
My kids were all business when they wrote their letters to Santa this year.
Forget the chit chat and sucking up, this is what my 8-year-old wrote: ‘Dear
Santa (Mom and Dad), Can I have spy gear, dominoes, books, Legos, money and a
Nintendo DS. From, Jason (A.K.A. your son).’ And my 6-year-old: ‘Dear Santa,
For Christmas I want: a Lego City set, Piggie and Elephant stories, clothes, a
little bit of jewelry, and Nintendo DS. Sarah.’ And finally, my 19-month-old,
courtesy of his older sister: ‘Dear Santa, I want a binky, another bottle,
fake drool, strawberries and a Nintendo DS. Love, Joseph.’
